I sort of know what you mean, except it's sort of Sailor Moon for me. I don't let it bring me down to where I can't watch/read it, but I still miss my Sailor Mercury (to my Sailor Moon) very much, and I wish she could say the same.

Hang in there and do your best to cherish the good times you and your friends had together. That was one thing Mercury and I sort of did, even if the effort was more on my part. I made sure that we left on "OK" ish terms so we, or at least I, could look back and smile. It's hard, and the smile is a bittersweet one, but it's still a smile. It sounds like your falling outs didn't have as... I wouldn't call it nice... 'calm', is what I'll call it. You didn't have a calm ending, which is probably why looking at the series is so painful too? I don't want to assume anything... But... It's never too late to try to get that 'calm' ending, right? Maybe offer to talk it out? Although, if that's way too much I'd understand. It wasn't easy for me, that's for sure. Maybe try to ignore the ending you and your friends had and focus on the good times you had. It's awful when you can't enjoy a series you loved so much. It's even worse when you can't enjoy your own memories.

I hope things get better for you, OP. Sorry for the rant. I guess I let out some of my own emotions too? Well, if anything I hope it shows you that you're not alone.
