(Anonymous) 2011-07-01 09:40 am (UTC)(link)After some time after submitting this secret, I realized it's more of an interest of wanting to see what people can go and make and portray with 'said pairing idea. I always enjoy seeing people's different executions on subjects and ideas in fandoms. (That's basically why I like kink memes.) I've seen a lot of good fan art and fan fiction with a rediculous sounding pairing or premise that managed to be pulled off well from talented and skilled artists and writers. The potential of ideas and concepts that could be explored upon is what attracts me to obscure or crack pairings, or any pairing or idea/concept altogether when it comes to fandom. Even with pairings I don't care for I'm always willing to explore and experiment with them.
What? You thought it was about wanting to see characters get in bed with each other? Haha! j/k
As for my view on the pairing itself; I only really said that I wanted to see more of Loid/Teddy, because of the same reason mentioned above. But to be honest, I'd mostly like to see stuff that fits more into the soft core catagory. I don't mind the more hardcore stuff (in this case it would qualify as Shota-con) as long as it's pulled off right and tastefully. (Unfortunatey, that barely ever seems to be the case when it comes to Shota-con, which is why I can't stand almost all of it. I hate how idealized and unrealistically it always seems to be portrayed. But hey, whatever floats a person's boat, right? Who am I to judge the people who do enjoy Shota like that?)
I think I might actually write a oneshot fic or two of this pairing myself, to challenge myself. If I can come up with a good idea for one, that is.
As for image I used; just like what the anon above said, it is indeed a scan from one of the many players guidebooks that were released out in Japan, translated by somebody.
