Not my ship ( Barbstrap and Sparrington ftw =) ) but I'd be overjoyed to see a little life breathed into the POTC fandom. POTC4 didn't do it as much as I'd hoped.

There are too many characters and too little interaction between characters who are either supposed to love or hate each other for viewers to care about, IMO. Plus, Jack has no real goal - and the whole bit with what the Spanish do at the end? Don't get me started on the logic!fail ... again, IMO.

While I did still enjoy the movie to an extent, I definitely felt like the character interaction was sorely lacking... which is maybe why my favorite part of the movie was the last scene between Jack and Gibbs!

Heh, thanks for noticing! You should check out reddwarfslash, because there are are people there who've been writing in the fandom a LOT longer than me and who've posted a lot more stories (not to mention better) to chew on. I love to go back on the archives and reread that stuff ....

I'd never not notice some good ol' L/R, I used to be a member of that comm (dunno why I stopped actually), and did start writing by own fic, but then real-life ate me and I never got round to finishing it at all.

I met Craig Charles a few years back and I can't believe I missed the opportunity to meet all of them last year. But the line was too long and I had not enough money on me for the autographs.... I WAS TOO WEAK!!! XD

I was always a Chris Barrie fangirl and soon after I got all of Red Dwarf on DVD I got all of The Brittas Empire on DVD XD

I've seen the first five seasons of Brittas on YouTube - I need to see the last two sometime. It is HILARIOUS and so over-the-top that that tightass Gordon is actually a weird turn-on of sorts. ;-)
