There are plenty of people who don't ship it, OP. Actually, to be perfectly honest, I think I've run into more people in this fandom who don't ship any pairing specifically than I have who hardcore ship any given pairing. [Granted, I hang out in the tumblr part of fandom, so I can't speak for TF2chan]

But seriously, you ship what you ship. If you don't ship them, fine. It's not really anyone else's business as long as you don't start getting obnoxious about it. Also, I kind of agree with you - after meet them Medic they really just give me 'Close friends' vibes more than anything else.
