...Cool? What does that have to do with HP books vs. the movies (which really don't have many significant differences between them, unless you're one who takes issue with changing Harry's eye color)?

But the same person who created the HP books didn't create the movies so there's a difference there...

But the same person who wrote the HP books was part of the creative team for the movies. Rowling had input on the scripts, which means if something is in the movie, one presumes she knew about it and was OK with it (same with things not in there). She had to think the spirit of one was about the same as the other (books and movies).
