I've done this for as long as I can remember. When I was little, my imaginary friends were Disney characters and 80s/90s TV cartoon characters, and Fred Savage, for some reason. ("Wonder Years," probably.) These days, it's whoever's highest on my crush radar, like Milo Ventimiglia, Callum Keith Rennie and Oded Fehr. I know most people would find it weird as hell, so I never talk about it, but it makes me feel less creeped out when I'm all by myself at home at night. Daydreaming about chatting with a hot famous guy is infinitely preferable (to me, anyway) to imagining every noise is really a burglar!

People should really tell you that overactive imaginations don't go away. :-/
