I mean. Okay. I don't know what fandom/fandoms you are in, but there are plenty of fandoms where slash fans are in the minority or are practically non-existent.
Since you claim to be so sick of slash goggles as if they were some kind of super prevalent and ubiquitous thing, all I can do is point you to one of the final scenes of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, where the one guy dies a horrible death after deciding to drink out of a super golden and froofy goblet, when the ancient knight deadpans, "he chose... poorly."
