I can 'sort' of see where the OP is coming from. Slash fans can be incredibly obnoxious, as can any kind of fan, including het shippers. Basically, fans will be fans and the rabid fan are never fun (unless you're one of them).

If anything, I'd be inclined to believe that some of the worst (more wank?) ship wars that have happened involved het pairings.

So OP is sort of right and all slash fans should go away because slash fans can be obnoxious? But het fans can also be obnoxious, so fandom can ultimately only be a better place if all fans go away???????
