Sorry, but it is about our sexuality, as much as I love slash, some of the portrayals of, and attitudes towards the LGBTQI community that I have seen from some slashers, do bother me a great deal. People on the LGBTQI spectrum exist as more than just entertainment value to be fetishised so that certain people in slash fandom can have fun placing their heteronormative values on the Queer experience. As a Queer identified slash writer, I don't think it's too much to ask that people in the LGBTQI community be treated with respect, and our relationships, experiences, etc, portrayed with more sensitivity.
