Yeah, K-Pop has to be the most terrifying fandom I've ever seen, particularly the militarist Korean fanclubs. I don't think I've ever seen another group of people bully a girl into suicide just for taking a picture with a pop star. It's just...gross. I'm extremely picky about who I talk to in K-Pop fandom because there are so many scary people.

Every fanclub has their idiots, but I what I REALLY hate is the STAND (Strong Til All Nine Disappear) hateclub. They're directed at SNSD, and call them some of the worst, misogynistic, absolutely cruel things I've ever heard. They organized the "Black Ocean" of 2008 everyone (except SNSD's fanclub) turned off their fanlights and threw things at them while calling for the Wonder Girls, call them "untalented/ugly/plastics/skanks/sluts/whores/bitches", accuse them of "stealing" CSJH's fan colour, wrote hate letters to two members because their mothers had died/left them saying they "deserved to be alone and have no mothers", they called one girl a "fucking chipmunk voiced bitch who couldn't sing"...

STAND needs to go find something better to do with their lives than focus so much negativity on a group of girls they know absolutely nothing about. Seriously, why don't they focus their energy on loving the k-pop groups they DO like? Why even bother with a group you hate so much? If you hate a group, then don't even bother with them. It's as simple as that...yet they don't seem to understand such a simple concept. There are plenty of k-pop groups I don't care for, but you won't see me bashing the crap out of them. Such groups are practically invisible to me. I don't care enough about them to have an opinion one way or another.

I don't think I've ever seen a girl group with so many haters than SNSD. :( And it's just so unfair that girl groups get about 100 times as many haters as the boys do.

I just got into the k-pop fandom this year, and a lot of it freaks me the fuck out. If I didn't love SNSD and After School so much, I would totally leave altogether. Idol groups are NOT srz bznz, you psychos! >_< I've seen plenty of wank in j-pop fandom, but that's just a mesquito bite compared to the k-pop crazies. 0__0
