i'd advise not checking out the more hardcore fanclubs either. they have a tendency to bully anyone who doesn't fit into their little clique. i've heard of girls who have had their address and phone number tracked down simply because the "netizens" want to abuse and harass them in person. come fans have been forced to suicide because of it :(
