I saw Wicked in Osaka a few months ago and thought it was so interesting! I already loved it in English, but I loved the Japanese as well. The translation does make it different, but I think the differences are fascinating. What stays the same, what changes, what they can and can't translate, in terms of both language and culture. LOVES IT. But I've always found musical translations really interesting.

Exactly, I thought it was fantastic... I admit, the lyrics are better in English, but I actually thought that overall the Japanese, the performances and such, was better.
