Also, to people mentioning general hairless-nes: In general, many Asians have far less body hair than say, white people. So yep, hairless chests on the men, super fine arm hair on everyone, and minimal leg hair on the men. Most Asian girls apparently don't even have to shave their legs.
In fact, I wonder more often if the girls aren't sometimes though of as 'weird' for shaving their underarms. I know that older generations of women do not generally shave their underarms in Korea and China (unsure about Japan).
I think the celebs could go to spa, no doubt it's a pricy place with well-paid staff and risking your position by disclosing private information is probably not worth it. That and it seems to me rather crude, and likely the celeb would be seen sympathetically (though there's always a few weird people...).
