I think age has nothing to do with that. I mean, Romeo and Juliet were even younger and they're considered one of the biggest love stories in the literature. Feel free to squee XD

I'm not sure people walk away from Romeo & Juliet remembering that Juliet was only, what, 13?

Also, not a love story. Tragedy. (And it's a lame love story, as love stories go. I mean, Romeo is even called out in the course of the play for only thinking with his dick after he'd just been melodramatically mooning over Rosalind.)
