Once again, there were only three episodes, and a lot of that time needed to be devoted to setting up the John and Sherlock dynamic.

Maaaan, I found the Lestrade in this version of Sherlock Holmes to be so incredibly dull and un-Lestradish. I do not understand why so many people in the fandom like him so much (not that I'm hatin', obvsly it's diff strokes and all that).

I love Lestrade! I especially love how competent they made him; Doyle!canon got a little better at it (I really like in Baskervilles when Sherlock asks him along) but he was still the bumbling inspector in a lot of the stories and it made me sad. I love how Sherlock has made the effort to let John and Lestrade shine on their own merits instead of just being foils for Sherlock's brilliance, if that makes any sense. They're not the bumbling idiots a lot of other adaptations would've made them into.

Plus his dynamic with the boys is fantastic. I'd really like to know more about his past with Sherlock, and I love scenes where all of them are together. (The argument in TGG is my favorite. "Fantastic!" "Meretricious!" "And a Happy New Year!")
