Yup you're right, there are about twice that many. And those are just the canon-canon ones. (I'd include things like Puzzle and Thief on a tier below, where like...interaction-wise it makes sense, but there's no canon suggestion of romance)
Yeah, I've seen a couple of...weird essays about Silent, I don't think it has any canon support either. But I guess you could make an argument about people growing and changing post-canon? IDK, I can see how people harping about how it was canon-canon would get really annoying after a while.
