Haha that would totally creep me out, and yet I'd be oddly proud, like I'm psychically connected to Doctor Who or something. XD

I squee pretty hard when I see an actor with a lazy eye, or strange mouth tic.

You wouldn't happen to have a broken fob watch lying around anywhere, would you?

You clap to the heartbeat of a Timelord. That's *awesome*.

Feel amused. It's the better of the two feelings.

... I'm sorry, but ADHD and Aspergers are two extremely different conditions with very different neurological basis and symptoms; in fact, they are practically exact opposites.

Are you self-diagnosed? Because it sounds like you don't understand either condition, and probably suffer from a normal tic. Or something else entirely.

(Anonymous) 2011-07-15 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
They're extremely different things, yes, but a person can have both.

(Anonymous) 2011-07-15 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
I thought that, neither involve tics and it sounds more like a mild Tourette's if anything. It could be all 3 though, giving OP the benefit of the doubt.

ADHD and Asperger's are not complete opposites. In fact, they are often co-morbid conditions. And why exactly are we back-seat diagnosing a complete stranger, again?

[identity profile] lady-lilith.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
AD(H)D centers on an inability to focus. Working with children on the Autism spectrum, I can tell you for sure that is a factor. They are not opposite at all. And -frequently- children with Autism stim (which is a better word for tic). Please don't talk about what you don't know about.

(Anonymous) 2011-07-16 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
many children with autism spectrum disorders get misidentified as adhd first before going on to testing and being officially diagnosed as autistic/aspergers. happened a fuckton of the time back in the 90s when adhd was THE trendy diagnosis. consequence: a fuckton of kids and adult now diagnosed as aspergers or hfa who were told in the 90s that they have adhd.

most of them just say "i have adhd and aspergers". seriously. i don't think most of them DO have adhd, but fuck, not their fault that the medical field has stupid trends that overwhelm everything.

[identity profile] sergeanthowarth.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I was going to say; my brother is one of those who was misdiagnosed with ADHD in the 90s.

I think that's kind of cool, OP! There are worse things than being psychically connected to the Master :D Sometimes when I get rejected or fail at something I put on 'I Can't Decide' and dance around pretending to be him. I think, well, he's been knocked back in trying to take over/destroy the galaxy tons of times, and he never gives up, so why should I? ;)

[identity profile] falconwhitaker.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, awesome, you have a Timelord stim! :D I sometimes tap on my collarbone when I'm nervous and I like trying to copy the rhythm he uses too – it's very relaxing :)
