I love this movie. I've watched it like..5 times already. But it isn't such a great movie tbh. The jump in time was especially bad, the script was subpar. I mostly like it because of the solid acting by Vicki Zhao and Chen Kun.

I actually agree with you about the time skip and some plot flaws, but the acting is *fantastic* and makes it well worth it. The fact that you watched it 5 times despite not thinking it's such a great movie kind of proves my point ;P
