(Anonymous) 2011-07-15 09:56 am (UTC)(link)Seriously? Because that's not true 100% of the time and really sounds like victim blaming. I think if someone is bullied or abused to the point where they do that it's definitly the bullys/abusers fault for instance and I think they should be jailed for life- because such a person should not be allowed to function in society ever again. We don't know the full issues here or why Op's deceased friend took her life.
OP messed up, horribly, if this secret is true. But yeah it's not really her fault- she wasn't the CAUSE of the suicidal thoughts (probably). She could have handled it a lot better and been a lot less stupid but hell I don't know how old OP is and besides it's sometimes hard to know what to do in such a situation.
Still to simply tell them to listen to songs? Pretty dumb really. Hopefully she won't make the same mistake again.
