I don't agree with half the stuff in this secret, but I do agree with wanting a fandom for the movie! I loved it.

it was such a visually driven film that a lot of fanfic seems unlikely. but i do agree that it has elements that fandom usually goes crazy for.

I was writing fanfic in my head immediately after. And went to bed writing a brilliant thing with Hanna, Sophie and her brother, growing up. But sadly I didn't write anything down and lost the main thread I was going for.

Sad there isn't much fandom or fics. Definitely a fantastic movie that deserves it.

I'll admit that I kind of wanted to read some Marissa/Hanna after seeing the movie. So much potential! It's definitely creepy, so I can see why there isn't any, but still--it would be interesting. Honestly though I'd love to read any Hanna fic. It really is a shame that there's nothing out there.

I know you mean average quality but the average movie that isn't part of a series or existing canon sadly doesn't have tons of fanfic, I guess cause there just isn't as much story to get inspired by. I can't help neutrally observing that the exceptions are usually very slash-based fandoms. The closest to one that isn't slash-dominated that I can think of is Inception, but you're still going to hit Arthur/Eames almost every time you throw a dart at all the fanfic.
It would still seem to make more sense to say that this is a movie with no obvious romantic potential (Don't get me wrong, I would probably read fic about Hanna and the girl whose name I can't remember (lol), but with them being children it's just less likely people would think to pair it), and people love their shipping.

Haven't seen it, but honestly having a sweet, innocent, beautiful little boy assassin/super soldier would actually be less cliche, not more. At least in Western culture (not in Japan). I'll have to give it a watch and see how the negotiate the trope-tacular premise, though.

I have no idea what this movie is or even what it is about. But hot dang. I AM WATCHING IT NOW! :D Thanks OP! The world needs more femslashy movies.
