Cesare was trolling in the melon scene. Notice the look on Micheletto's face. He's all like, 'Wha? How do I respond to that?'

I like to imagine the actors going, "Are we flirting in this scene or beating each other up?"
"Dude, I have no clue. I think we're just trolling slash fans."

But getting back on topic, yeah. NEED MOAR SLASH FIC!

LOL Cesare totally knew what he was doing. He gave Micheletto the heaviest bedroom eyes before shoving the thumb in his mouth. I wanted to faint. Micheletto looked ready to faint.

Happysigh. Feels good to know I'm not alone. :D

Pfft. You are totes not alone. I love that pairing. I love the BDSM elements, the powerplay, the age difference. That pairing needs more love.

I get the impression Micheletto doesn't know what to make of Cesare. 'Are you flirting with me? Do you want me to kill somebody? Never mind, I'm just gonna play up the emotionless assassin thing until you threaten me. Then I'll be a woobie and a BAMF at the same time.'

...I'm going through Borgia withdrawl.

Yes, oh gosh, yes, a million times yes. This pairing hits pretty much every kink of mine and I love it. There can never be enough of this pairing.

My headcanon for Micheletto is that it takes him a very long time, pretty much 'til around the finale, to finally be comfortable around Cesare. It could have been just humoring Cesare, sure, but Micheletto finally had a small smile on his face towards Cesare during the march with the French Army. It felt genuine. So UNFF, that in-between was probably the hottest complicated dance ever.

I can go along with your headcanon. Micheletto's not emotionless, he's just very, very careful about showing whatever he's feeling. He even says in the first episode that Cardinals are fickle. Man's got trust issues and it makes sense that it would take him a while to let his guard down, even with someone he says he would follow blindly.

Cesare sometimes seems affectionate towards him, when they're not beating the hell out of each other. Seriously, he calls him 'Sweet Assassin' in the first episode. They've got pet names! (Okay, 'Your Eminence' is less a pet name and more of a title, but so is 'Master') And then there's the touching. From the forehead with the hands on the back of Micheletto's neck, to the fingers trailing on his shirt, Cesare is all kinds of touchy-feely.

I'm counting on next season being epic. I heard they're bringing Sforza back to start rumors of incest and I'm hoping somebody'll finally off him. 'Some things should not be easy' my left foot.
