The setting is a school full of teenage monsters. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, and so forth. We good so far?
The "patient" used to be a boy. A straight boy, and a werewolf. Still with me?
An evil spirit used a magical device in a way that transformed the boy (along with a lot of others) into a girl. This one boy then was not present for the "cure" where everyone else got their normal bodies back.
So the patient is now visiting the school nurse (and mad scientist) to see what can be done.
In panel 1, we learn that this is not a surface transformation. The character is now fully female. In particular, this suggests that the character will now menstruate and have the possibility of becoming pregnant.
At the end of Panel 1, the character asks, "Is this why I like guys now?" This is the part that's setting everyone off on a ragefest, apparently--they think that the AUTHOR is saying, "If you're 100% female, you must be completely straight." In point of fact, that's not it at all. Rather, the nurse informs Ace, in panel 2, that the transformation carried over the character's sexual orientation, by category rather than by object--that is, the character has remained heterosexual, even though heterosexuality now means being attracted to guys.
The dialogue is clumsy, but ANYONE who has read any comic that Gisele has had anything to do with should immediately be aware that no, she does not place one gender or sexual orientation above any other. Good gods, Ma3 only recently managed to confirm ONE cast member as being fully straight--everyone else seems to be at least a bit bi.
