I loved locker snooping too! Haha. That game helped me understand that popularity wasn't as big of a deal as it totally seemed to be in elementary school (when I played it). You got to choose what party she went to and things really sucked if you picked the popular party with the boy but worked out when you did the friends' party and the boy showed anyway. It was so fun way back when.

Meeeee too! I loved looking through the hot art teacher's locker, especially. Or was he a science teacher? Anyway, for some reason I always remembered that in his diary or something he was complaining about how his girlfriend left him for a "common astrophysicist." That is a totally random memory to have carried with me for 14 years!

I don't remember much about this game, but I instantly recognized that picture when I saw your secret. I might never have remembered this game if you never posted it. Thanks, OP, I love remembering weird little memories like that. I mean it. :)

I wonder how much I'll remember once I go look this up.

[identity profile] roguebelle.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
This! Seeing the pic awoke some really, really old memory that I'm sure I haven't thought about in over a decade. O_o

Oh, I adored this game, anon! Unfortunately it didn't make me any more confident or comfortable with making new friends, but it did teach me not to judge people who didn't have my interests (because I loved even the snobby blonde girl - Nicole, wasn't that her name? - and she had her own interests and problems and wasn't a one-dimentional snob). Such a lovely set of games.

[identity profile] tragic-elegance.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
This game was awesome. I loved playing it. I'd probably still have it on my computer.
Her and Pepper Ann were really similar, now that I think about it.

ROCKETT SECRET OMG WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING

darren was such a fox

[identity profile] classic-mold137.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Omg, OP! You have made my night with this secret. I used to be obsessed with these games, and I'm pretty sure the only reason I stopped playing them is because I don't know where they are. Does anyone remember- what was the name of Ruben's band?

OP

(Anonymous) 2011-07-21 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god, what WAS the name of his band...? It was probably something really stupid considering it was made in the mid-late 90s and all fake band names back then were like "Killer Tofu" or "Flaming Zits." XD

Rebel Angels, if the scraps of mentions in cached Google webpages is right.

I do believe it was Debaser or something similar.
Did anybody else play the Secret Paths games?

brb searching for a copy of this game online somewhere o m g

[identity profile] galaxysong9.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Tell us if you find one! I loved this game, esp. looking through lockers and using the secret glasses to read people's thoughts. It was basically an adventure game, and I remember being really surprised the first time the plot branched off in a totally different way because of the choices I made.

[identity profile] unifilar.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I just replayed this game the other day! Finished it within an hour, lol. But I wasn't snooping through the lockers as much, so they cut the playing time. I loved it a lot, though. The characters were all so unique and interesting and had a lot to them. I wanna play the other games now, too...I feel like it's not socially acceptable for a 20 year old to do that, though...

[identity profile] classic-mold137.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
I'm 23, and if I could find them, I would be playing them right now.

[identity profile] topwithens.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
lol I'm almost 25 and would replay all the Purple Moon games for the sake of nostalgia :)

(Anonymous) 2011-07-21 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Those games were ADORABLE. I want to play them again.

[identity profile] oaktree89.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
OH MY GOD ROCKET!!! I was obsessed with these games. I also think Ruben Gonzales was my first crush XD

I had like four of these, and some of the Secret Paths ones too and my sister and I would play them on our family's Gateway 2000 PC... oh, the nineties.

I'm so nostalgic now!

[identity profile] topwithens.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I know right! This secret makes my day... Purple Moon games were awesome

(Anonymous) 2011-07-21 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
AAAAHH! I LOVED THIS GAME!

My best friend of elementary introduced me to it, it was so good. It had nice morals, so I think it's cute that you learned from it. :) If only my copy wasn't scratched up and didn't have gunk on it, I'd play it now for nostalgia's sake.

[identity profile] expastic.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this game until now. Thanks, OP!

[identity profile] universejuice.livejournal.com 2011-07-21 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
dlfjookdnfl oh god I was just thinking about these games the other day and how much I loved them as a little girl. The Secret Paths games always felt really important to me, at the time. Not to mention the absurd number of hours I spent on the purple moon website, gathering the little secrets from around the site.

[identity profile] poisontea.livejournal.com 2011-07-22 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
GOD I LOVED THESE GAMES SO MUCH. I was so sad when Purple Moon went under. 8( I really want to play them again but my system won't run them...
