Wait, what? I've always found him to be rather openly centrist. Anyone who thinks he's a "left-wing activist" has very likely never met an actual left-wing activist. Either that or they've never set foot outside the US.

In the rest of the developed world, the Democrats are centre-right, and the Republicans are a geriatric shuffle left of ultraconservatism.

And yet I rarely ever see the Democrats point out that some of their issues - like public health care and freedom to choose - are not even up for debate in the rest of the developed world. They're taken as a given and/or a fundamental right.

Yeah, Democrats are kind of wimps like that. Either that or Dems are working with the GOP behind the scenes while they argue in public in order to give the people an illusion of choice, but obviously that's just crazy talk! Hahahaha!

...Right, I forgot that improving the quality of life for one's people is irrelevant if the methods are ~~~~~~~~socialism~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (like the post office, or the army).

Yeah, I think he's pretty open about which way he feels about things and he's not that extreme. I think it's the idea that he's secretly manipulating people to some secret end? Which I think is mostly about people on the far right who don't like somebody even that far to the left to have that much of a voice.
