I can see you didn't include Elizabeth and Carson. See, that's what I left the fandom and could care less about it's status right now.

MTE. Except Carson did go back, sort of.

I gave it multiple chances in season 4 (I think I watched about 12 or 13 episodes? Maybe a few more). But I honestly lost interest, I found the writing in my opinion had gone downhill, and I didn't want a show that was just about "the boys", I want some variety. That in addition to the veiled and not veiled insults/treatment JoeM tossed Torri's way made it difficult to go back to even the fandom in the way I had loved it before, even in my little corner where I was safe.

Really? I didn't know about that; that's really a shame =(

Yeah, my interest died mostly after Elizabeth. I liked Jennifer, but Elizabeth was IMO the heart of the show.

From what I've heard they just a) kind of summarily dismissed her b) Torri did an interview in which she expressed that she was sad about it, and very torn, and kind of hinted towards it not being the best at being dealt with so c) JoeM responded to that and people going "How could you treat Torri like that" with essentially "she should shut up and be glad she had a job for three years", d) She refused to go back in season 5 for a guest spot and e) Other actors after (I'm thinking, Joe, and Jason? [So 3 main cast at this point)] have expressed that they weren't entirely happy with what was going on behind the scenes.

Yeah, I liked Keller, but I remember watching the Teyla and Keller ep and thinking that I would have /loved/ it if it were Teyla and Elizabeth. And then I felt guilty cuz I couldn't stand all the Keller bashing.

That's not good. I never cared for Weir, so I didn't follow the debate of her return. I know JoeF is quite vocal when he dislikes something that's going on backstage...well I'll give him a benefit of doubt because we don't know what exactly went behind the scenes and what was said and I can't find anything that would report on this.

wow, that's REALLY a ridiculous thing to say.

Ooh, yeah, that ep would have been good with Elizabeth, mainly because I really found the dynamic between Elizabeth and Teyla pretty interesting. But yeah, Keller bashing got ridiculous, especially when people went off on her "being a slut" for being attracted to Ronon at one point and then, a good amount of time later, decides to pursue a relationship with Rodney.

She's not a slut, although the writers wished she was. She was just an awful character that should never have been allowed to take up so much time on the show. They could have kept Elia or Repli!Keller if they had it so bad for Jewel. Those were good characters.

Well, this was a shot meant to be voted "Folks most likely to fuck your shit up," so that would be why. Not that Elizabeth can't in subtler ways, but then I would have been honor-bound to include Radek as well, since I adore that crazy-haired man.

And Elizabeth could still be in the fandom if you'd stuck around. That's the whole point.
