DA. It wouldn't actually help, though. Stuff like that actually just makes it worse, for the same reason that imagining physical harm coming to the people that wronged you just makes you more angry. We've all done it, and we all know that at the end of the little fantasies we never actually feel any better. The theory behind what you're suggesting is, at it's heart, catharsis. And catharsis has been pretty much proven to actually increase aggression, anger, and general bad feelings. See this link: http://youarenotsosmart.com/2010/08/11/catharsis/

(And anyway, even if you don't plan on sharing it, halfway through you take a step back, look at it and think, "Christ, what am I doing? I'm no better than they are..." and that really doesn't help the whole "feeling like shit about writing" problem.)

Not necessarily. Different people deal with crap like this in different ways. When I was being bullied by a manager at work a while back, I coped with it by writing my manager into a story (I was the only one to read it) and killing her off. It made me feel a hell of a lot better, got me through my shifts at work, and I was able to be polite to her no matter how she acted.

Don't assume that just because it doesn't work for you, that it won't work for other people.
