I don't think anyone takes him THAT seriously as an actor; I'm sure he has done a lot of great work, though.

He just has this way of talking, this way that he's just absolutely himself that's appealing and fun. It's why hearing him read Poker Face lyrics is kind of the most amazing thing. Not because he's acting them well, but because it's just Christopher Walken reading them.

I agree. Has talent for sure, but I don't some of his roles really showcased it. Mostly he's awesome because he's awesome.

Yeah; I haven't seen his more dramatic roles, so I haven't seen some of his more showcased talent, but he's just himself and that's fantastic.
