Agreed with all of this. Though I do have to say, Bruce's handing of and relationship with Dick is often one of his biggest flaws.
Jason is Bad and therefore any bad handling of him by Bruce can be brushed off, but Dick is The Hero of the DC world. He is practically everyone's big brother. There is no excuse for the crap Bruce has put him through.
Dick almost always forgives him everything in the end, but I have always thought Bruce being shit about it was written intentionally as him just being fail at personal relationships, and the repercussions of that rippling out to the rest of the caped world.
(There was also Tim's birthday "present" That One Time. I don't know if Bruce ever really understood what he did wrong, but Tim was fucking furious with him for a while, at least, and the audience was meant to feel sympathetic with Tim. Other shit happened to Tim after that, so he moved on, but.. did they ever rewrite/revisit that to portray Bruce in a good light?)

most of these feelings lately dissolve into NOT THAT ANY OF IT WILL MATTER ANYMORE COME REBOOT WEEP, DC I REALLY MIGHT LEAVE YOU FOR MARVEL, etc
