I can picture things when I'm reading but only as I'm reading them. It's really hard for me to picture a character any other time and even when i'm reading it's a vaguer image more often then not.
But, yeah, I think in full sentences like "Go to the store and get eggs, bread, and ice cream. It looks like rain so bike instead of walking."
And my thoughts expand really easily. Like thinking of a horse. There are horses, and my Aunt owns horses, she gave me those horse statues as a kid. I own a book about a horse, did I ever read that, once, 4th grade. What else did I read 4th grade. Tried Harry Potter for the first time. But horses. I like horses, especially when they show up in books. And mythical horses like unicorns, remember that book we had about unicorns?
...am I the only one who does this?

Here's a sample, courtesy of looking up and wondering what to give as an example: "Ha, my pleco is swimming around the tank, that's cool. [image of a tank] And my uncle is into WWII stuff [black and white minimovie of a tank and soldiers] I wonder what he's up to these days? [image of website I helped him build] Oh man, I should offer to redo that now that I'm better at designing..."
It's kind of like pulling a piece of paper out of a file folder and other things come along with it (like, the image of my uncle's website is attached to the idea of him, so when I think about him, the website comes up too). I kind of like it, but it can make for really weird conversations sometimes because my train of thought can bounce around really quickly and I wind up saying, "oh, that reminds me..." and totally changing the subject.
