Oh, and addtionally 12

To be a little more coherent- Sometimes I avoid fandoms of some shows all together just so I don't have to read/look at anything that ruins it for me

Glad it's not just me! I think attempting to join a world full of shipping wars and character bashing and all that other "fun" stuff could ruin the magic a show has for me, and I'd never want that to happen!

As the OP of 23, I have to agree with this one. I tend to avoid fandoms until a series is over, because I hate spoilers - not to mention fandom wars and jokes that can alter/ruin your feelings about a character, before they even get a chance... That's what I hate the most about fandom, honestly.

I've seen so many POTC spoilers in this community, alone - and FMA was ruined for me, several times (One spoiler I saw before I even started the series.)

And thanks for the comment on mine, it means a lot to see that I'm not the only real person who does that.

(Yeah, me, too. I'm not reading Potter 'til after the seventh movie is over and the great tidal wave of bad fans recedes a little bit.)

I wish I could do that. I have to read five before the movie comes out, because of my dad's girlfriend.

Her and I have compared each book to each movie since the first one. Although, I'm not in that fandom at all, and stopped reading the books after four.
