*shrugs* I just see the copyright violation and plagiarism of regular fanfiction as an equally serious and disturbing crime/situation as RPF. I don't see it as fair to condemn RPF and consider fanfiction perfectly acceptable. I genuinely see the argument that "it's creepy" completely ignores society's acceptance of historical fiction, parodies, and satire.

There are also celebrities that support, encourage, and admit to reading fanfiction of themselves. Granted, I think that's perverted beyond measure but I'm more interested in the moral argument than the actuality.

Far, far, far worse are fans who send RPF writers' work to celebrities. I don't know any halfway talented writer who would submit their own but there are plenty of nutsos who would do it for them.

I don't agree with the assertion that RPF is about representations or public images of celebrities. I read RPF because I want to enjoy my favorite celebrities.

However, I wish you'd learn the very basic rules of capitalizing the initial letter at the beginnings of your sentences and using periods at the ends. It's very hard to care about what you have to say when you can't bother to learn two of the most basic rules of writing.

Mom died two years ago, and there are times I still have a difficult time watching things like this, so I know how you feel. (My sister and I went to see "Year One" after Mom's funeral, which was stupid, silly fun - those movies actually DO have a purpose, who knew?)

I met her irl before I knew she was some sort of cosplay BNF and all she did the whole time was ramble endlessly about her cosplays and how awesome they were (and various illneses of an oddly convenient nature...) It's like the only way she defines herself. You could stand in a puddle of her and not get your feet wet.
