Um.. I'm not sure about the rest of your secret but...they've always talked about the industry. That's what the show is about.

I agree that their videos have changed tone, at least some of them. Now they're using them as more... "the industry needs to change x so it can be y" and before I felt like they were making an effort to point out some great things about the games themselves to the people who might not have noticed them or things gamers could do to promote the medium.

I still enjoy their videos, but I liked them more before.

Yeah, it bothers me when they talk as if they're talking to game makers, when most of their audience is gamers. Talking about the industry so we have a better understanding of it is one thing, but when giving advice on how to change the industry, they'd do better to give advice aimed at gamers, rather than game makers.

From my understanding, she hasn't recovered. They're doing guest artist right now because she's recovering.

They're using guest artists because she can't draw. She is recovering.

They're still super informative and interesting so I don't really care who they seem to be talking to.

As far as your other points, Allison is still recovering and that's why they're bringing in guest artists. Where is this idea of her being better already coming from? If you're assuming that Allison must have recovered already for the S.978 and Operation Rainfall Episode to feature her artwork, I think you're making the false assumption that these episodes aren't prepared in advance, or they can't use existing artwork.

Also I do wish they'd asked the community what they should do with the money donated before they came up with their current plan. I would have suggested they save the money in the event that Allison would need further surgery down the road.

I mentioned in another reply that it was that episode. I thought they were done in advance, but the amount of comments about her recovering and no one corrected them (when I made it) caused me to jump the gun. I apologize for that, but I still stand by the rest of the secret.

The episodes are informative, but their recent ones have felt very condescending.

I think saving it or giving it to a known charity would be better than taking a big business risk adventure. If they want to do that then go apply for loan or ask for donations for it specifically if they want to go that route.

I find them very preachy too, especially as someone trying to break into the games industry, they come across as really patronising and naive to me.
