What's this "Doctor-worship"?

He's the main character. 0_o On top of that, he's one of the most complex and endearing characters ever (IMO). He's not perfect, I don't think he's Space Jesus or whatever - that's why he's a great character. He's full of flaws and sometimes makes terrible mistakes that he regrets and learns from. You can love a character to bits while still acknowledging that they're messed up as well as awesome.

Nothing against Geogia Moffat, she did a fine job, but I just found Jenny so irritatingly bland. The perfect perkiness would grate on me if I travelled with her (maybe she grew more in her adventures but we have no idea what happened in those). Her only flaws were things that weren't her fault, just things that were 'programmed' into her from cloning, and they were ironed out in a few minutes which somehow made Ten go from "I HAZ NO OFFSPRING!" to "Aw, she's my little girl!" after...a gymnastics scene? 0_o Really? Huh. I'd like to have seen Susan get round One when he was a bad mood by pulling that stunt. XD

Yeah I'm a little baffled by the idea of 'Doctor-worship'. He's the main character, he's always been the main character, and the show is named after him, so it stands to reason that all Doctor Who fans are fans of the Doctor. o_o Unless they're referring to people who say they'd want to travel with him or something.

Tbh, I probably would travel with Jenny, though, cause Georgia Moffat is adorable and pretty. :3 There's some awesome fanfic about her.

I might prefer Jenny to 11. She's all bubbly and excited and well 11 acts that way sometimes but I feel like he has this 'seen it all' feel behind him. Could be fun to discover the wonders of the universe with her.
9 and 10 definitely had moments were they were surprised and just looked at the universe with wonder and awe. I'd need that.

That 'looking at the universe with wonder and awe' thing is one of my favorite things about the Doctor, 10 in particular. Seeing the Doctor so happy about the world makes me happier about the world.

I have this goofy idea that she flies off and blunders into a space battle where the Good Guys' side is led by an admiral who's a dark-haired woman in her 40s with her hair up in a ponytail, and someone scans this sudden extra ship and discovers that the occupant has two hearts, and the admiral hails her with "Professor, is that you?"

And then we have The Adventures of Jenny And Ace, and they race around the universe together blowing up everything that needs blowing up. They'd be like the Dirty Pair, only competent and with outfits that make more sense.

But maybe that's just me.
