No seriously - I'm the first person to say that people have a right to a differing opinion - but people just ship these two because they're pretty. It's MORE than beyond me and I haven't seen a single shred of any kind of evidence to back it up *shrugs*

I lurk in the hope of seeing more Chandler/Miles fic because that's where the real chemistry is. If people don't find Miles attractive then that's one thing, but to deny THEIR chemistry is criminal.

First of all, yay for the Whitechapel fandom! (It deserves more of a following!)

I agree Chandler/Kent isn't canon but there is quite a lot for shippers to work with - Kent was the first one to accept Chandler and cearly has a bit of a hero worship thing going on (copying his clothes, habits, etc). Then what with Chandler being all cut up about Kent being the mole it's easy to see why people might read it that way.

And yes, there is Chandler/Miles chemistry, but I think the fact Miles is married with kids (and fish) probably limits some of the potential for the shippers.

But TBH it's an entirely male cast and frankly anyone can be shipped with anyone without too much effort! I can see some Miles/Buchan myself...

See, it depends on what you want to see.
Because I for one part couldn't ever imagine Chandler/Miles although I do love them just being bffs but I can totally see where people get the idea that Kent has a crush on Chandler because he does copy him and run after him a lot.
If you don't like the pairing you won't see any evidence for it because you don't bother to look into it too much which is normal, but to say that other fans are delusional is just a dick thing to do. They have their way of seeing things and you have yours and it's not like they're discrediting your ship in any way by doing what they do, so you shouldn't discredit theirs.

And I'm just going to sit in my corner with Chandler and Buchan and their big asexual romance and not minding what other people ship.
