2) Like you said, it's retarded to flame and bash characters you don't like nonstop, so if you're not doing that then I think it is cool beans. Characters have varying personalities, though, so it's a no duh that certain people like and dislike certain ones. But haha, I'm curious, either way. What exactly about her is it that you don't like?

7) I actually see a lot of *good* Xenosaga fic out there. Maybe you're someone I stalk and glee over! I wish I could tell. Even though in fanfic world good is subjective, since I absolutely boggle over seeing amazing fics get three replies/reviews and... not so amazing ones get like 200+. :(

I don't like her scary fanbase that can't seem to take no for an answer, and how absolutely perfect she is just ticks me off. A lot of other characters are perfect, too, and I don't like them either, but it's her special way of it that gets me. The way she helped save the whole of mankind and all didn't even make any logical sense, but it worked in the context of the show because it's her. And that's really more the writing than anything, but adding that to how she's written the rest of the time and how rabid her fanbase is just made my irritation build up more and more. Plus a lot of them (her fans, and even those who aren't her fans) also bash Fllay for being a "bitch" and a "whore," and claiming that she deserved to die, etc. which ticks me off because Fllay merely has natural flaws while Lacus is almost unbelievably perfect, and yet the latter is considered a better character. And yeah.

Buuut I am sort of in the same boat there, I think? I'm not sure if you mean just her or her backing/factions as well, but I'm personally not a big fan of how her group is portrayed in a similar way. XD

And just boo on Fllay haters in general. But then again, that's everywhere too, insanely awesome character-depth that gets overlooked by just the actions without thought to how the character's own head is working.

Iiiiiii don't really like her group much either, actually. The utter logic fail I mentioned with her applies to them as well. Two dinky little starships going out by themselves in a battlefield to try and stop two giant armadas fighting by entering the battle themselves makes sense how? I'm still baffled as to how it worked.

Agreed on Fllay. She's easily one of my favorite characters now, somewhat fueled by how much everyone seems to hate her (apparently, I'm inversely affected by what the majority of the fandom thinks).

I get how that can be! Part of me wants to mention Meer in Destiny... but it seems like lately more people really like her. (even though it seems like most of her haters are also ones who don't like Fllay, either. At least in the fanfic side of things where they're both always high-school AU bitchgirls.)

Haha, I like Meer quite a lot, too, because she's like Lacus only batshit insane. I know a few Meer-haters, though, so there's at least some sway there.
