The sad thing is, it was nowhere near as gross as them saying "We'll lose the weight real qucikly. We promise!"

Ugh. I know the girls in the DNF world are all morons, but FFS they were treating their own rape as nothing more than 'kind of icky'. It was creepy.

At least Duke 3D treated rape as the horrible thing that it was.

Aw, man. As someone who was a fan of the Duke (and especially loved 3D), it breaks my heart a little to read that DNF actually goes this far and crosses the line so hard.

I could deal with the game just plain sucking, but...wow, it feels like a kind of betrayal to read this.

If you like shoddy controls, subpar graphics (I normally am not huge on OMG AMAZING GRAPHIX but really...they're just awful) and hand-holding via health regen, be my guest.

I didn't even have to tread into the awful parts of the game in terms of the jokes/sensitive bits. (Which were NOT shit the Duke Nukem people know and love would say. I've replayed 3D too many times to think otherwise.)

Boy am I sick of people shitting all over DNF. It's certainly no worse than any other FPS that's come out recently. Christ, I sure as hell prefer it over "CALL OF BATTLEFIELD HONOR: ECHO TANGO BRAVO DELTO LET'S GO SHOOT SOME BROWN PEOPLE OPS" or whatever bullshit is the popular FPS these days. (And don't even try to call Portal 2 an FPS. It's an entirely different kind of game.) Game of the year? Fuck no. But a hell of a lot less bland than the bullshit that's out there right now.

That being said, yeah, you're a terrible feminist. That Hive level squicked me the fuck right out, and it does little to comfort me to find that it was women who wrote the entirety of the dialogue for that stage.

Yes, seriously. The lead writers of DNF were women. Read the credits. It disturbed me.
