You're right, OP. All redheaded characters are generally better than their blonde and brunette counterparts. No redheaded character has ever been unattractive, weak, boring, stupid, slutty, shallow, emo or a Mary-Sue. They are without flaws. If anything, they're flawed in that they are just so much better than everyone else.

Also, thanks for your pity. I really appreciate it. It's so hard to live without role models like Misty from fucking Pokemon.

Came here to say this, actually. \: It seems like every time I encounter a redhead in fiction, it's part of what makes her ~special. There's never a normal-assed redhead ANYWHERE. (I mean, shit, I love Charlie Brown FOREVER but even HE loved 'the little red-headed girl' without even talking to her.)

You are me. I know it is an awful exaggeration but for me, it has gotten to the point where redhead equals Mary Sue in my head. Or at the very least has-the-same-traits-as-almost-every-redheaded-fictional-character.
