Ditto. In the books, I can go along with Ron/Hermione without any difficulty, but in the movies, I always saw Daniel and Emma having more chemistry and spark with one another than Emma and Rupert. But I respect JK SO much for not changing her story for the trio on the basis of the actors.

I thought about writing an entire personal entry on this. It's not even like either Rupert or Emma are bad actors, I think they did okay as kids and grew into respectable actors as the series went on. But any scene of them acting together just seems stilted and awkward. Whereas Daniel and Emma, whoa. I'm thinking PoA and that hug scene in GoF in particular.

Lol they probably don't feel that way for each other at all IRL.

I read this essay, probably been posted before: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/essays/essay-hh-suited.html I entirely agree with it for the books, but some of the arguments don't apply to the movies:
"responding to her more as mother than a girlfriend"--in the movies that might be true a couple of times, but other times, not so much
"is bored by her speeches"--in the movies those speeches are cut
"doesn't find her attractive"--starting in PoA, Emma quit having the bushy hair thing and was quite pretty. I think it's obvious that Daniel noticed even if Harry wasn't supposed to, know what I mean?
"doesn't confide in her"--in the movies, he does.

tl;dr because of a different treatment of the story by the directors and scriptwriters and because of the acting, movie!Harry and movie!Hermione would have made a good couple. But I'm fine with R/Hr and am ambivalent about H/G.

I'm also a Harry/Luna shipper, but not militantly so.
