I was almost positive that I was the ONLY person in existence to want a fandom for this mini series AND the ship. Okay, so the bobbing of the boat during the WHOLE show gave me a bit of a migraine and the whole thing with the....expired...passenger was a little gross, but good lord, what a fantastic role for Benedict and a wonderful story to boot.

Played up to my period film kink, and my foot kink. (Ben's got GLORIOUS feeties!)

I'd have loved to have read this book in school! Is it no longer part of the curriculum? D:
We studied Lord Of The Flies (which, yay, is also by William Golding) instead. A lot of the people I knew either shipped it or admitted its shipping potential (and ignored/denied the fact that all the children there are about 10).

A couple of weeks ago I whined to a friend of mine about the lack of fanfiction on this tv series. She told me 'if you're so bothered, make some' and was like, 'nah, you know I can't write to save my life... (But someday... Someday soon...)'
And now that I'm actually reading the To The Ends Of The Earth trilogy, I'm seriously considering it. The fanbase does seem nearly non-existent (except for you guys), so it'll be more of a personal satisfaction thing XD
