OP, should that fic ever come to light, I would read it in a New York second, no joke. I loved Pirates of Dark Water as a kid and I still have a special place for it in my nostalgic fandom. What I hated was the way it ended with no resolution and no clear origin of what happened (from what I can remember). So yeah, as someone who goes rabid over plot, I'd be all over that.

LOL, I remember watching the ending one day when I was little, and loving the fuck out of it, precisely because it didn't ended where it should have XD

I loved that show so very much when I was young, and I was actually thinking about trying to find it again recently but I was afraid I'd end up disappointed.

I started to watch it again after many many years. It moves a bit faster than I remembered (specially the first two episodes), but it's still awesome.

The idea of this makes me tingle in excitement. I didn't know anyone else loved this fandom! It had so much potential!

I'd read it. Holy crap, I loved this show when I was a wee little kid. To this day I credit it with my love of all this pirate-y and crazy ass monkey things.

Pirates of Dark Water secret! Unf! This was probably my favorite cartoon as a kid and I could never figure out why they always played the same nine episodes all the time.

I keep forgetting to check and see if this is on Netflix, too. I loved the shit out of this cartoon back when it aired. It was probably one of my first internet fandoms, actually. I had a pen pal who sent me drawings in the mail of OCs she made that were like a mashup between this show's characters and Sailor Moon. LOL @ being 12 years old.

OMG ♥ Pirates of Dark Water secret!!! I will never forgive them for canceling that show before it was finished...

Anyway, Seriously write it OP! I would love to see some PoDW fic, and that sounds like a great fic.

oh my gosh, yes, I'd read this as well. Heck, if you want a brutally honest and vicious beta reader I can do that too.

Actually, the recent Thundercats reboot made me sad. It's excellent, I'm loving every second of it, but the fantasy mishmash land it takes place in just makes me constantly go "I wish this was Pirates of Dark Water."

I would love a well-done modern remake of Dark Water and I actually think in this day and age it'd be wildly successful.
