lol i KNEW someone was going to say this when i saw this secret. and you're right. but sometimes one feels the urge to zoom about in outer space, which cannot be satisfied with any available technology :)

I was going to say this... but then I thought about Donna. After first meeting the Doctor, she traveled a little but eventually had to return home to her normal life. I think that's what would happen to me.

Except that you can't be comfrotably hobo like The Doctor is.
AND most of the unique and wonderful places on this Earth are now closed to the public enjoyment as well. Preservation. The mineral springs in turkey? Closed.
You can passivly look, but experience wise not so exciting and most of us can't go on a permanent journey of learning, discovery and exploration. We have to work and have a place to live.

He has a portable nice place to sleep in and an infinite wardrobe.
