Apparently a ship that has many problems to overcome plotwise and characterwise makes more sense than a relationship that at least had a foundation and 3 seasons of (admittedly awkward) development. As much as I have issues with kataang, zutara within the context of the canon story would have been a big steaming pile of WTF!

But then again I think Aang and Katara having a family is all kinds of adorable.

Yes, it would have. I still have some issues with how Kataang was handled, but dude...it was their story and they were free to write it however they wanted. The level of entitlement and butthurt in the Zutara fandom is eventually what drove me out of it. SMH.

Eh the way it's treated and worshipped like some perfect answer to all of the series' problems is the turn off for me. The series' romances weren't perfect but the alternative isn't that great. But I am excited for Korra. I've been eating up information on it by the spoonful.
