Where's your brain? Because the whole "brainwashed philistines" was not fairhearing saying "Oh, this is what you are! Blaargh!" It was a restatement of the ridiculous words spewing from anon's fingertips. If anyone was being insulting, it was the anon, who was saying "anyone who thinks X is just stupid and brainwashed."

So, read a grownup book or something before you start throwing YOUR stupid around like you know what the hell you're talking about.

Anon didn't say "anyone who likes HP is stupid and brainwashed." That would be you jumping to a butthurt conclusion because OMG, how DARE anyone not think HP was classic literature.

I don't think it's ridiculous to chalk up the popularity of a mediocre work to good marketing. Unless you want to argue that Twilight should be hailed a work of genius now, too.
