It is a strange feeling to be super-into something, focused like a laser beam, and then find something else you fall in love with even more. But don't worry, it's most pronounced in the beginning. The New Hotness takes over and consumes you, and the old fandom sits for a while like a song you listened to too many times, and then after enough time goes by things will settle down and most likely one of these two will happen:
- The old favorite will resume #1 spot and the new favorite is #2/top 5
- The new favorite will keep #1 but old favorite will still be special in your heart and retain #2/top 5 status

It depends on what inspires more enduring love, and it's difficult if not impossible to predict. I'd suggest not worrying too much about it, knowing you'll always love them both, even if things may never go back to being exactly the way they were.
