Off-topic, but that shot cracks me up. Snape is bawling his eyes out, woe, baby Harry is like MY PARENTS ARE DEAD AND NOW SOME WEIRD DUDE IS IN MY HOUSE AAAH, and Lily is...obviously not doing anything because she is dead. I cried through most of the scene each time I saw it, but that bit made me laugh every time.

lol, yeah, that shot, while him going to the Hollow did clear up some of the closure I wanted the books to have, and Snape does show he has the ability to display a wider emotional range, that was THE MOST EMOTION I HAD EVER SEEN ALAN RICKMAN AS SNAPE PORTRAY IN ANY OF THESE FILMS! And it just took me out of the movie completely.

I was watching the scene thinking, holy shit why didn't we see more of that Snape? Snape-with-emotions was far more interesting than monotone-Snape.
