In I case like this, I think the amounts of different groups of people who have a positive reaction to hockey slash should be considered! I think that the enjoyment of the OP's part stems from the novelty of finding someone in a group of people who would not normally care about hockey slash (someone not in the fandom and someone who is male) caring about hockey slash, and that the OP is not suggesting that the words of a male are somehow more valuable in any other way except for their rarity!

(I know next to nothing about the hockey fandom, so I'm just assuming it's like the Homestuck one but with sweeter people)
