This is hilarious. Maybe if you had actually read the books and were able to understand what people are talking about you would feel differently.

Maybe. Maybe not. I've always had a soft spot for villified characters. Reading the books would probably make me a Snape fan.

Snape isn't exactly vilified in fandom... he's practically hero-worshipped.

The vast majority of fandom hero-worships him, and a minority does not. Usually, if you say anything bad about Snape these days, you get lots of hate from fans, even if you're simply pointing out canon. It's pretty annoying.

I can imagine it would be and I'm sorry you've experienced that. Fandom is big enough for everyone, it's too bad some people can't accept that.
