Uh, what? No.

I'm sorry, I wasn't even going to get into this argument, but what got Sirius killed was the fact that he wanted to save Harry, and in reverse, Harry wanted to save him. Here are all the events that led up to Sirius' death, in order:

--Just to get this out of the way, Sirius' comment to Harry ("You're less like your father than I thought. The risk would have made it fun for James") was actually made when he wanted to visit Harry in Hogsmeade. Harry told Sirius no, don't do that, you'll get caught and chucked back into Azkaban, which made Harry feel guilty. HOWEVER, Harry did NOT rescind his comment, nor did he want Sirius to visit him in Hogsmeade.

--At Christmas time, after Snape came by to inform Harry that he would be giving him Occlumancy lessons, Sirius gave Harry a package in private. He told Harry not to open it there, because he "didn't think Molly would approve," but that he wanted Harry to use it if Snape was giving him a hard time. Harry puts it away in his trunk, and resolves NOT to use it, because "it would not be he, Harry, who pulled Sirius out of his place of safety." Foreshadowing, ooooh.

--Later on, MUCH later, Harry sees Snape's Worst Memory and decides he wants to talk to Sirius about it. By this point, it is VERY clear that he has forgotten about that package, as he breaks into Umbridge's office to use her fire to talk to Sirius. Sirius says that he's going up to "have a word with Snape" when he hears about the end of the lessons, but Remus stops him, saying, "if anyone is going to tell Snape, it will be me." Whether he does or not, however (or whether it had any effect if he did) is unclear, because the lessons don't continue.

--Later still, Harry has a vision that Voldemort is torturing Sirius in the Department of Mysteries. He still doesn't remember the package and tries to use Umbridge's fire again, but he gets as far as Kreacher telling him that Sirius has gone to the DoM before he gets caught by Umbridge.

--Harry gets one shot to tell Snape that Voldemort has Sirius, and he does so; however, because Snape doesn't want Umbridge to find out anything, he pretends he doesn't know what this means. Harry, terrified over losing the one person who is like a father to him, ends up breaking free and going to the Department -- NOT because Sirius wanted him to "take more risks" (seriously what are you even), but because he thinks his father-figure is being tortured to death, and he can't stand to lose another parent. At the same time, Snape has sent his Patronus to Headquarters to let the Order members there know what happened. He said that Sirius should stay behind, but knowing his penchant for taunting Sirius, that -- combined with the fact that his godson was in danger because of him -- didn't work and Sirius went anyway.

THAT'S what led to Sirius' death, not his comment about Harry being less like James than he thought. Harry WANTED to keep Sirius safe, and so he rushed to the Department of Mysteries to do whatever he could since obviously Sirius wasn't in "his place of safety" anymore. Sirius, meanwhile, wanted to keep HARRY safe, so HE rushed to the Department of Mysteries to protect his godson. Yes, Sirius was reckless and no one is denying that, but "take more risks lol" was never a factor for Sirius' death at all. Honestly, what book were you reading? (The package, by the by, was a two-way mirror that Harry could have used to communicate with Sirius at any time; had he not been so adamant about NOT taking risks, and had he actually opened it and used it earlier on, the entire fiasco at the Department of Mysteries could have been avoided.)
