I must have missed the part where Snape killed James and Lily. See, I thought Voldemort killed them. But it must have been Voldemort who was in love with Lily, and BEGGED Dumbledore to protect them in exchange for anything Dumbledore wanted from him!

All those times Snape protected Harry must have just been figments of everyone's imagination, amirite? (http://tinypic.com?ref=m8crww)

The anon was obviously referring to the time when Snape handed over the prophecy to Voldemort, knowing that it would end in the death of a family (if he honestly thought Voldemort would let them live, he was a bloody moron). He only gave a shit when it happened to be Lily's family Voldemort decided to target. Had Voldemort chosen Neville instead, Snape would have remained a Death Eater and would not have cared about the murders he helped cause.

...and so? Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Doesn't change the fact that Snape spent the rest of his life protecting Harry as retribution for his sin. Why do you think he got pissed off at Dumbledore when he said that Harry had to die?:

Snape honored Lily's sacrifice by protecting her son for the rest of his life. There were many incidents where Harry could have been killed, but with Snape doing things behind the scenes, Harry lived.

This is FACT, and the point I am making.
