I feel sorry for the poor saps who do it. Though nowadays if they don't do it themselves someone else close to them will probably look and tell them about it later. Still the creep factor must be enough to make them a bit wary of fans.

If I was famous, I probably wouldn't google myself. It would creep me out. Especially if I was aware there were crazy fans out there, like doing live events and seeing fan signs and hear what they're shouting out. Except I would not be opposed to googling any famous friends I had and telling them about the "best bits" I find.
